  In order to give full play to the bearing and maintain its due performance for a long time, it is necessary to do regular maintenance (regular inspection).

  Through appropriate regular inspections, it is very important to improve productivity and economy to find faults early and prevent accidents before they occur.

  1, cleaning

  When disassembling the bearing for inspection, first make a record of the appearance with photography or other methods. In addition, confirm the amount of remaining lubricant and sample the lubricant before cleaning the bearing.

  A. The bearing cleaning is divided into rough washing and fine washing, and a metal grid can be placed at the bottom of the container in use.

  B. For rough washing, use a brush in oil to remove grease or adhesions. If the bearing is rotated in oil at this time, be careful that the rolling surface may be damaged by foreign matter.

  C. When fine washing, slowly rotate the bearing in oil, which must be carried out carefully.

  The cleaning agent usually used is neutral non-water-containing diesel or kerosene, and sometimes warm lye is used as needed. No matter which cleaning agent is used, it must be filtered frequently to keep it clean.

  After cleaning, immediately apply anti-rust oil or anti-rust grease on the bearing.

  2, inspection and judgment

  In order to judge whether the removed bearing can be reused, it is necessary to check its dimensional accuracy, rotation accuracy, internal clearance, mating surface, raceway surface, cage and sealing ring.  The inspection results can be judged by those who use inertial bearings or those who are proficient in bearings.

  The judgment standard varies according to the mechanical performance and importance, and the inspection cycle. If the following damage occurs, the bearing must not be reused and must be replaced.

  1) Fractures and defects of bearing parts.

  2) The peeling of the rolling surface of the raceway surface.

  Bearing installation and removal

  Bearing installation methods vary with bearing types and matching conditions.

  Because it is generally shaft rotation, the inner ring and outer ring can adopt interference fit and clearance fit respectively, and when the outer ring rotates, the outer ring adopts interference fit.

  (1) Push-in installation

  Press-in installation generally uses presses, bolts and nuts can also be used, and hand hammers can be used when necessary.

  (2) Hot sleeve installation

  The heat sleeve method of heating the bearing in oil to expand it and then installing it on the shaft can avoid unnecessary external force on the bearing and complete the installation work in a short time.

  It is necessary to disassemble the bearing when checking or replacing parts regularly. Usually the shaft and the bearing box must continue to be used, and the bearing is often used. Therefore, the structural design should take into account that the bearing, shaft, bearing housing and other parts will not be damaged when disassembling the bearing. At the same time, appropriate disassembly tools should be prepared. When disassembling a statically fitted ferrule, only the pulling force can be applied to the ferrule, and the ferrule cannot be pulled through the rolling elements.
